We had some pretty decent waves for our 2nd aggregate contest of the year. Even the mals didn't cause us too much pain (sort of). Lets hope we can continue to see such good waves for the rest of our aggregate events.

2008 AGGREGATE DATES

Due to poor surf we had to cancel Aggregate 1 on February 10. We now must move Aggregate 1 into the date of Aggregate 2. Therefore, the new 2008 dates are as follows:

Aggregate 1 - 'The Wilbur Memorial': 8th March 2008 - COMPLETED

Aggregate 2: 26th April 2008 - COMPLETED

Aggregate 3: 31st May 2008

Aggregate 4: 21st June 2008 (still to be confirmed but keep it in mind!)

Further aggregate dates will be announced once we work them out.

TBC Single Fin Raffle Surfboard at the Rip Curl Pro

The excellent shaping services of Ross Slaven and glassing services of Russell Graham (Moonlight Laminating) were generously donated to provide this great fund raiser for the club. A massive thanks guys from all members of the club.

The club successfully raised a bit of dough from this and many thanks must go out to all members who volunteered their time over the Easter break to sell raffle tickets at the Rip Curl Pro. Great work!

The winner was Alex Hackett from Ocean Grove. Good to see we don't have to ship the thing to the U.K. (or somewhere else just as difficult).

TBC Life Member Grant Forbes (of Tigerfish Gallery) went down to photograph Russell (at Moonlight Laminating) while he was glassing her up. Instead of getting the camera out he pulled the sketch pad out and whipped this up. Awesome job.
